Know Before You SignWill lives in Savannah, TN with his wife Jasyman and their two kids Octayvia and Riley. He is an active member of Love and Truth Church and enjoys projects around the house and fantasy football. After more than a decade in professional baseball, Will joined Shoemaker Financial in 2025 to combine his firsthand knowledge of the draft process with a passion for helping athletes make sound financial decisions at the start of their careers.
The highlight of Will's time in baseball came in 2021, when he was part of the Braves organization during their World Series championship run. From 2022 to 2025, he served as an area scout for Atlanta, sitting across the table from players and parents during in-home visits and working alongside agents throughout the year across multiple draft cycles. Earlier in his career, he also spent time in minor league clubhouses with the Twins and Astros — giving him a well-rounded view of the professional baseball landscape. That experience is at the core of how he approaches advising athletes today.

See What Paul has to say About Shoemaker
"In the last 30 years, I have never been with any other company. All my training came from Shoemaker. Not only did the initial training come from them, but continued accountability from the firm has been very important in my development. I was challenged to grow in knowledge and skill level throughout my tenure. Many of my friends today are with Shoemaker, and the family atmosphere is something that drew me to the firm and keeps me to this day.
Competitive pressure also helps in that I am challenged to grow my practice so that I don’t fall behind my peers. As someone who is in a remote office, I needed to feel like I was a part of something bigger than just myself. Some people might be able to thrive as an island, but while I might have been able to do so, I also believe that I have achieved higher marks due to my affiliation with Shoemaker Financial."
