Terry started his career in Banking shortly after finishing High School. He was promoted in banking several times in Forrest City and Memphis until being introduced to the Stockbroker role by a friend and former co-worker in the banking industry. After seven years of banking experience he transitioned to Financial Advisor in 1999 with Dean Witter at the time. He has spent some time with Ameriprise (formerly American Express Financial Advisors) of Memphis and Merrill Lynch in the Global Private Client Group out of Newport Beach, California.

Past affiliations with great companies and the diverse experiences have more than equipped Terry for role at Shoemaker Financial where he focuses his practice on families with children, education professionals, physicians, attorneys and small business owners. He approaches these groups and others with the entire financial picture in mind as well as personal service, commitment, family and community values as a base.

Terry serves as Board Member-Position 2 of the Forrest City School District Board of Education.

Terry was born in Chicago (Cook County) Illinois, and raised in Forrest City, Arkansas. Terry is a Cub Scout Leader, and he’s active in the Youth Department of his Church (Beth Salem Baptist of Forrest City) in areas of Dance/Drama Ministry as well as the Annual Youth Camp and Retreat. Terry is married to childhood sweetheart Cameshia, and they have 4 sons. As a family, they enjoy traveling, going to the movies and community projects.

Terry also enjoys a strong passion of Dance. He is a former winner on the “Showtime at the Apollo” amateur night contest and was on the first season of “So You Think You Can Dance” in the Top 50 Hollywood round. He has since used these experiences as a motivational piece to reach youth in Forrest city and surrounding areas as a dance coach and mentor.
