Jamie is a native Mississippian and was raised in Memphis. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2002, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He entered the logistics and transportation field and worked in operations management for two Fortune 500 companies for several years before returning to higher education. He then earned an MBA degree from the University of Memphis, Fogelman College of Business and Economics before joining Shoemaker Financial in 2009.

His interest in financial planning has led him to share his expertise with families, business owners, and practicing physicians. Jamie frequently lectures at the University of Tennessee Dental School and Southern College of Optometry where he discusses business planning and the importance of financial preparation. He also enjoys speaking to the engaged couples in the Catholic Diocese about the importance of communication and preparation for their financial futures. Jamie has made appearances on the Small Biz Memphis radio show and National Public Radio’s “Marketplace”. He is a member of the East Memphis Rotary Club, National Federation of Independent Business, and Memphis Business Builder Circle.

Jamie and his wife, Valentina, enjoy spending time at the lake, biking the Shelby Farms Green Line, and walking their dog. He also loves to hunt and fish with his family and cook with his BBQ team.
