Jim Shoemaker is President of Shoemaker Financial. He began his professional career in the financial services industry in 1973, and in 1978 founded Shoemaker Financial, a firm which represents a fully integrated array of financial services and products for individuals and businesses of all sizes.

Jim received his Bachelors Degree from Mississippi College and has earned several other industry designations. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner, a Chartered Life Underwriter, a Chartered Financial Consultant and a Certified Fund Specialist. He is a Registered Representative of Securian Financial Services.

He has served as a field seminar representative and counselor for Christian Financial Concepts/Crown Ministries since 1976 and has served on their board since 1988. He is a member and former board chairman of the Kingdom Advisors and is a member of the National Association of Family Wealth Counselors, the Estate Planning Council, and a board member of the Premier Resource Group. Jim also belongs to the Institute of Certified Financial Planners, and the Society of Financial Service Professionals. He has written numerous published articles, been a guest on several national radio shows and a featured platform speaker. Jim was named the 2007 Volunteer of the Year for GAMA. He then received the 2008 First in Class recognition from GAMA.

Jim and his wife, Linda, have been married for 35 years and have two adult daughters. They are members of Bellevue Baptist Church where Jim serves as a deacon and teaches a Bible fellowship class for adults. He also serves on the executive board of the Bellevue Baptist Foundation. Jim enjoys fly-fishing, golf and is an avid reader.
